This workshop will explore the landscape of the body-mind connection and how your body can be a friendly tool that guides you through your own self-exploration. In a non-judgemental and safe space we will:
Explore research supporting the body-mind connection and learn small breath and movement-based exercises to increase body awareness
Learn about contemplative movement and experience its effectiveness as a “free association” tool of the body that allows held experiences and emotions to surface to conscious awareness.
The Contemplative Movement Workshop is guided by your personal experience and the professional guidance of Becky De Rosa, a dance movement therapist, Laban movement analyst, professional counselor, mindfulness practitioner, and yoga instructor. (R-DMT, GL-CMA, LPC)
