Class Descriptions

AERIAL YOGA

Aerial yoga is a challenging combination of traditional yoga poses done on the floor, and postures practiced using a soft fabric/hammock suspended at waist height. (Ages 13 and up)  Please note: We have a 12 hour cancelation policy for all aerial yoga classes.

ALIGN & FLOW

Syncing the body’s movement with the breath, Align & Flow is designed to allow yogis to use their alignment on the mat to explore their own journey of alignment in all aspects of life off the mat as well. The class brings awareness to the body’s intricacies through cueing detailed body alignment & syncing breath with movement while leaving lots of space for individual exploration and flow.

ALL LEVEL

This is an all-encompassing class that will meet the needs of all students. The instructor will provide instruction, modifications and challenges as needed. All are welcome!

CHAIR YOGA

Chair yoga is fun and accessible to everyone, from the experienced practitioner to the beginner. In this class we will practice stress-reducing breathing techniques and meditation while sitting in a chair. We will also practice gentle movement seated in a chair, and standing next to, or supported by a chair. Chair yoga will help improve your flexibility, balance and strength.

GENTLE BASICS

This class is designed to relieve stress and open the body with gentle, slow, and traditional yoga postures.  Learn to listen to your body and tune into your breath as you increase flexibility, strength, and balance.  Appropriate for anyone who wants to slow down.   

GENTLE FLOW

This class will explore the breath and posture work of yoga through gentle flow sequences and supported restorative postures that will allow students to experience the benefits of yoga while listening to the needs of their body.

GENTLE/BASIC YOGA WITH STRENGTHENING

A slow, mindful practice covering the fundamentals of yoga poses. This class will build strength and balance along with toning your entire body with gentle/basic yoga. It will include use of light weights or resistance bands for strengthening. Please bring two 3-5 pd weights to class.

GENTLE SOMATIC YOGA

It incorporates slow, mindful movements that amplify body awareness. It provides subtle movement sequences that provide a deep and profound experience of one’s own anatomy. Through slow contraction and release of a specific muscle group, the focus is on the quality of movement, not the outcome of a particular pose.

HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga combines postures (asanas) with conscious breathing (Pranayama) while developing flexibility, balance, endurance, strength and mental clarity. Students can expect to develop body awareness and explore alignment of bones and joints to the varied postures while props to support the practice.

HEATED PILATES FUSION

A high-intensity, low-impact, full-body workout that combines Pilates with other fitness moves in a heated room. Props will be incorporated to target specific muscle groups. Let’s go!!!

HITT FUSION

A Yoga + High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout. This flow class will mix slow-twitch muscle stability and fast-twitch whole body sculpting action. Be ready to kick your fitness practice into high gear!

HOT YOGA

Hot Yoga is a fun, fast paced class, usually filled with lots of flows designed to exhaust the muscles.  The studio is warmed to 87-93 degrees to promote instant warming of your body. Bring lots of water and a towel to this class and always listen to your body! This class is not suitable for beginners or anyone with injuries. (Ages 16+)

KIDS YOGA

(Ages 5-9) Could your child benefit from learning how to breathe more deeply? Do you want your little yogi to learn healthy skills for managing stress and anxiety?
During Each Class Children Practice:
*Deep Breathing Techniques *Physical Postures/Poses *Meditation

LEVEL 1-2

Intended as an opportunity for students to deepen their practice and experience. Instructors will continue to focus on linking breath with movement, while mindful of proper body form and alignment cues.

MAMASTE PRENATAL

This class offers poses to relieve the stresses brought on by carrying a child. You will gain strength and flexibility, not just physically but mentally as well. You will learn breathing techniques, labor positions and mindfulness practices to help during both labor and childbirth.

MOMMY & BABY

(5 weeks-pre crawling w/caregiver) Do you and your baby need to get out of the house? Are you ready to start exercising again after being pregnant? Bring your non-mobile baby to class with you for some self care. The practice is focused on you, with your baby being incorporated into some of the poses. This class is the perfect way to connect and bond with your beautiful new baby. Not only will you get to engage your baby in a fun environment, you will learn poses to calm and soothe your child.

MINDFUL FLOW

A movement based flow with some longer holds and emphasis on the breath. You’ll be provided with alignment and other body centering cues and yet encouraged to feel your way through the practice from the inside out. You are encouraged to make the class as challenging as you like.

REIKI & MEDITATION

Meditation helps with relaxation and stress reduction, helping to elevate and enhance your life. Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing and meditation that is proven to decrease stress and increase the life force of the body. Experience reiki + new meditations weekly. Learn how to breathe, chant mantra, and receive healing energy. Crystal bowl clearings during this practice as well. This practice is designed for beginners and seasoned meditators.

RESTORATIVE

Appropriate for every Yogi! Enjoy the Ease. Honor yourself as mind and body restore through the use of supportive props and guided relaxation. This class will help you slow down, reduce anxiety, and find the present moment is perfect.

RESTORATIVE AERIAL YOGA

Restorative aerial yoga utilizes the aerial yoga hammock as a prop to assist the body in gently attaining postures that it ordinarily finds difficult. These hammocks are suspended 20cm off the ground and are used to encourage a full range of lumbar spine movement through various yoga poses and sequences.

Restorative Yoga with Thai Massage

A healing modality that combines passive restorative yoga postures with stretching release of muscles and fascia, acupressure, trigger point release, and meridian line work to unwind tight muscles and open energy pathways to restore health and wellbeing to both the physical body and energetic bodies. In this session, participants will be guided into restorative postures as Dawn moves around the room, giving special hands-on attention to each person, working on areas of the body that need the most attention.

SLOW FLOW

This slower-paced flow class allows time to explore postures while incorporating intention and mindfulness. You will walk away feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

TAI CHI

A mind/body/spirit practice that improves mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, sound, self-massage, and focused intent. These gentle, repeated movements incorporate visualization, breath, and the focus of energy moving through the body. Tai Chi opens the flow of energy in meridians and enhances our ability to feel the Life Force underlying the physical world.

VIN & YIN

Vin Yin is a class designed to help you find balance. Using the aspects of Yang and Yin, the first portion of the class focuses on Vinyasa-style yoga to build heat and strength in the body through muscle work. The second portion focuses on the cooling and stretching qualities of Yin, delving into the connective tissues of the body to increase flexibility. While the physical benefits of this class are apparent, you’ll be surprised how flowing the body in this way can also awaken other parts of your “Self”. This class is designed for all levels, with advancements and modifications provided to students as needed.

VINYASA FLOW

WARM AND GENTLE

Warm & Gentle Yoga is geared specifically for those who are interested in a slightly warmed room looking to move through a gentle practice. This class incorporates simple flowing sequences as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility. No experience or flexibility required!

YOGA FOUNDATIONS

This class offers the basic poses for anyone new to yoga. (Great for beginners) The focus of this class is on proper alignment and some modifications to some of the more popular poses. In this class, students should walk away with a basic understanding of yoga and how it affects the body.
