Me- a yoga teacher? Who would've ever thought?! By nature, I am an introvert. I am not a gymnast, a dancer, nada. Yoga appeals to me because it isn't "exercise". It's finding everything I've been seeking in the quiet space of my yoga mat. I believe that by practicing yoga and doing this work, we are polishing up our part of the cosmic dust and revealing the deep radiant light that lies in the heart of every being. It's an unfolding. The experience is profound. Yoga is great for physical conditioning- you will improve strength and flexibility. But that is only a surface scratch of this practice. It's a quieting of the mind. A release of the tension. It's a clearing of the ego to make space for Spirit. It's a call to THIS moment- the present moment, which is holy. Being truly present, and truly engaged, in the here and now, is a sacred spiritual experience. Yoga is 100% something I wish everyone would do for themselves, but also for the world at large. It creates a ripple effect of love. It is the gift that keeps on giving.
